Vanadium Dioxide
Catalog NO.: TFMMOM-0028 Category: Metal Oxide
Vanadium dioxide is a dark gray crystalline powder with a melting point of 1545 ℃. It belongs to the monoclinic crystal system, is insoluble in water but soluble in acids and alkalis. Its most notable feature is a reversible phase transition at 68 ℃, where the structure changes from rutile (tetragonal) to distorted rutile (monoclinic), resulting in abrupt changes in electrical conductivity and infrared transmittance.
