Zirconium Carbide
Catalog NO.: TFCBFC-0040 Category: Carbide
We offer ZrC powders in nano, sub-micron, and micron sizes. ZrC is a hard material with a high melting point and excellent high-temperature refractory properties. Used as a solid propellant additive for aerospace engines, in alloy steel production, and as a raw material for Zr metal and ZrCl4. A promising fine ceramic material.

| Storage | This product should be stored in a sealed container within a cool, dry environment. It should not be exposed to the air for prolonged periods, as moisture absorption may lead to agglomeration, thereby compromising its dispersion properties and performance. Additionally, the product should be protected from heavy pressure and kept away from oxidizing agents. |
◈ Metallic Conductivity: Good electrical and thermal conductor among carbides.
◈ Chemical Stability: Resistant to oxidation and attack by molten metals.
◈ Controlled Particle Size: Narrow distribution for consistent sintering behavior.
Cemented Carbides & Powder Metallurgy: High melting point, strength, corrosion resistance; improves hardness and durability of cutting tools, wear parts, and abrasives.
High-Temperature Coatings: Applied to paints/coatings to enhance surface thermal performance.
Carbon-Carbon Composite Modifier: Modifies carbon fiber to significantly increase strength, wear resistance, and high-temperature stability; widely used in aerospace carbon fiber composites.
