Attapulgite Salt-Resistant Soil Thickener
Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-145 Manufacturer PN: CHM-THK-ATT
• Resistant to saturated salt and calcium contamination; temperature resistance up to 230°C; possesses excellent colloidal properties, rheological properties, and thixotropy.
Serves as a flow modifier, low shear rate thickener, and anti-settling agent in high-salinity water-based drilling fluid systems. Suitable for salt-bearing formations and saturated salt systems. Applicable to offshore drilling, deep wells, and geothermal wells.
This product is a specialized thickening agent manufactured through modification of natural attapulgite clay. Unlike ordinary bentonite and other swelling clays, it is a high-quality attapulgite product unaffected by high ionic concentrations. Its key feature is its compatibility with virtually any drilling fluid base fluid—including brackish water, saline water, saturated brine, or even water contaminated with gypsum or cement—and its resistance to pH variations. This product maintains ideal drilling fluid viscosity even in low-solids drilling fluid systems, making it an ideal drilling fluid material for offshore drilling, formations containing gypsum-bearing strata, as well as deep well and geothermal drilling.
