Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-124 Manufacturer PN: CHM-POL-CAT

Key Features

It prevents clay swelling caused by water molecule erosion; acts as a high-performance shale inhibitor in high-performance water-based drilling fluid systems; does not affect the viscosity and filtration loss of the drilling fluid system; and controls foaming.

Applications

Adsorbs onto drill cuttings surfaces, rapidly reducing hydration to prevent cuttings dispersion, aiding in cuttings removal and minimizing solid phase accumulation.

This shale inhibitor is a powdered product containing cationic polyacrylamide, designed for use in polymer water-based drilling fluids, workover fluids, and completion fluids. It primarily maintains wellbore stability by suppressing shale dispersion. When formulating highly inhibitive water-based drilling fluids with this product, the system must contain at least 60,000 ppm potassium ions. Potassium chloride is preferred, though sodium chloride may be used provided sufficient electrolyte concentration ensures compatibility with biopolymer-based suspending agents. This product is suitable for freshwater, seawater, and low-solids water-based drilling fluid systems.
