Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-123 Manufacturer PN: CHM-CES-FMT

Key Features

Potassium formate and sodium formate drilling and completion fluids offer all the advantages of conventional fluids, primarily used in high-temperature and high-pressure drilling and completion operations. They exhibit excellent thermal stability, with a working temperature up to 230°C. They contain no weighting agents or solid particles, have low gel strength, and low instantaneous pressure peaks during gel breaking, resulting in minimal pressure fluctuations and easy maintenance of wellbore stability. There is no risk of solid phase sedimentation, low ECD, and reduced risk of screen blockage. High core permeability allows for excellent protection of the producing formation. It is an environmentally friendly product.

Applications

As a formation-specific drilling fluid for high-temperature, high-pressure wells, it serves as a completion fluid during perforation operations to protect producing formations and enhance oil and gas recovery rates.

Cesium formate has the chemical formula CsCOOH. It is an organic compound with prismatic crystals, appearing as a white powder highly soluble in water. Its solution is acidic, with a brine density reaching 2.32 g/cm³. Cesium formate solution possesses all the advantages of potassium formate and sodium formate solutions. It is primarily used in high-temperature, high-pressure well operations as drilling fluid, completion fluid, and perforating fluid. Cesium formate achieves a density of 2.30 g/cm³ and operates at temperatures up to 215°C, with a wellbore service life extending to 18 months. It is suitable for application in high-inclination and horizontal wells, as well as low-permeability oil, gas, and condensate reservoirs.
