HEC L is the liquid form of hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC), dissolving faster than powdered HEC without requiring prolonged shear. As a thickener, it is commonly used in formulating solid-free or low-solid completion fluids specifically for reservoir sections. It prevents clay particles from clogging reservoir pores, thereby protecting the reservoir. HEC L exhibits low sensitivity to electrolytes and does not form sedimentary residues in high-salinity environments, making it an excellent reservoir protection agent.
