Completion Fluid Thickener-Powder
Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-158 Manufacturer PN: CHM-THK-CMP
• The product has a thermal stability of 120°C; it does not clump or form fisheyes, and dissolves quickly in fresh or salt water without additional shearing; environmentally friendly and easily biodegradable; suitable for reservoir applications.
Specialized thickener for solid-free brine completion fluids. Suitable for high-concentration NaCl, KCl, CaCl₂, and CaBr₂ brines. Multifunctional product for completion fluids: thickening, loss control. Forms a smooth, uniform viscous fluid.
Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) is a nonionic water-soluble polymer that rapidly dissolves in water to form a transparent or translucent viscous liquid. As a thickener, it is commonly used in formulating solid-free or low-solid completion fluids specifically for reservoir sections. It prevents clay particles from clogging reservoir pores, thereby protecting the reservoir. HEC is insensitive to electrolytes and does not produce sedimentary residues in high-salinity environments, making it an excellent reservoir protection agent.
