Corrosion Inhibitor
Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-012 Manufacturer PN: CHM-COR-INH
• Safer and more versatile than caustic soda when used in polymer systems; compared to lime and caustic soda, this product reduces the possibility of polymer hydrolysis; does not produce precipitation when used in divalent salt water systems.
Can raise aqueous phase pH to 10.3; replaces lime for treating carbon dioxide gas contamination.
Buffers provide alkalinity for all water-based drilling fluid systems, suitable for freshwater, brine, and brine polymer systems. This product is water-soluble and adjusts the aqueous phase pH to a maximum of 10.3. Beyond pH 10.3, the product becomes insoluble in water. When the pH of a water-based system falls below 10.3, the undissolved portion of the buffer agent can continue to dissolve. This characteristic allows the product to function as a buffer agent. It can replace hazardous caustic soda for adjusting drilling fluid pH, offering safer transportation and field handling.
