Elastic Graphite-100 μm
Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-091 Manufacturer PN: CHM-GRP-100U
• Temperature resistance exceeding 260°C; suitable for all types of drilling fluid systems: water-based, oil-based, and synthetic-based; its high elasticity and high compression ratio allow it to fill fractures and pore spaces.
As a leak-sealing agent, it plugs pores and small induced or natural fractures. It can also be directly added to circulating mud to prevent and treat leaks while reducing the risk of sticking. In water-based drilling fluids, it acts as a lubricant to minimize sticking.
This plugging agent is a highly elastic graphite material with an average particle size of 100 microns. Used as a bridging plug to address fluid loss encountered in natural or induced fractures during drilling, its mechanism of action is as follows: under pressure differential, it is forced into fractures or voids. Its self-expanding characteristic allows the material to naturally rebound to a certain extent, firmly anchoring itself within the void like an expansion bolt. It is difficult to remove and does not contract. These sealing characteristics enable its widespread application in plugging depleted formations to mitigate the risk of sticking caused by pressure differentials.
