Emulsified Asphalt
Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-065 Manufacturer PN: CHM-BIT-EMU
• Thermal stability up to 200°C; as a filler particle, it quickly and effectively achieves temporary plugging and sealing of oil and gas formations, effectively preserving the original state of the reservoir. The resulting mud cake is thin and tough. Adding this product has no negative effect on drilling fluid performance and has good compatibility with other treatment agents.
Demonstrates significant collapse prevention, lubrication, and sealing effects with a broad application temperature range.
This emulsified asphalt utilizes premium natural asphalt as its base material. Through specialized surface modification, asphalt particles acquire positive charges, resulting in colloidal particles with a rational normal distribution. It exhibits no separation or freezing, with its primary components highly dispersed and dissolved within the drilling fluid. Its softening point is specially engineered for broad applicability, maintaining consistent sealing performance even under significant subsurface temperature fluctuations. For most formations in long open-hole wells, it provides film-forming, sealing, and collapse-resistant properties. It is injected into microfractures within the formation, utilizing sealing/film-forming mechanisms to stabilize shale and prevent collapse. Beyond the collapse prevention, lubrication, and high-temperature/high-pressure filtrate control properties inherent to conventional asphalt, this emulsified asphalt's most distinctive feature is its high dispersion and true softening at specific temperatures.
