Flexible Graphite-25 μm
Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-089 Manufacturer PN: CHM-GRP-25U
• Temperature resistance exceeding 260°C; suitable for all types of drilling fluid systems: water-based, oil-based, and synthetic-based; its high elasticity and high compression ratio allow it to fill fractures and pore spaces.
As a plugging agent to seal pores and small induced or natural fractures; can also be directly introduced into circulating mud to prevent leaks and treat leaks while reducing sticking risks; in water-based drilling fluids, it acts as a lubricant to reduce sticking.
This plugging agent is a highly elastic graphite material with an average particle size of 25 microns. As a bridging plug, it addresses fluid loss encountered when drilling through natural or induced fractures. Its mechanism of action involves being forced into fractures or voids under pressure differentials. Its self-retraction characteristic allows the material to naturally rebound to a certain extent, firmly anchoring itself within the void like an expansion bolt. It is difficult to extract and does not shrink. These sealing characteristics enable its widespread application in plugging depleted formations to mitigate the risk of sticking caused by pressure differentials.
