This thickener is a higher-purity powdered xanthan gum. It is a dispersed, opaque, high-molecular-weight biopolymer product suitable for most water-based systems, exhibiting salt and calcium resistance. It possesses excellent suspension properties and shear thinning characteristics, with a temperature tolerance up to 120°C. A biocide must be added during use to prevent fermentation. When the mud pH exceeds 10, this product reacts with dissolved calcium ions to form precipitates, though its salt tolerance generally meets requirements.
