This thickener is a specialized high-performance, temperature-resistant xanthan gum product. Compared to standard xanthan gum products, its temperature tolerance is enhanced to 140°C, making it suitable for most water-based systems. It delivers higher low-shear viscosity and high thixotropic gel strength, properties that help maintain clean wellbores, ensure adequate drilling fluid suspension, improve flow patterns, optimize hydraulic performance, and reduce friction losses. When the mud pH exceeds 10, this product reacts with dissolved calcium ions to form precipitates; however, its salt tolerance generally meets requirements.
