This shale stabilizer is a high-molecular-weight hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (PHPA) liquid product designed to encapsulate cuttings and stabilize formations. It also functions as a viscosity enhancer, flocculant, drill bit cuttings blockage reducer, and fluid loss reducer. It rapidly adsorbs hydrophilic solids to form a protective film that lubricates and reduces fluid loss. Suitable for both soft, dispersible formations and hard, brittle formations, this product works in freshwater, seawater, and monovalent brine systems with an operating pH range of 8.5-10.5.
