Oil-Based Drilling Fluid Viscosity Reducer

This product functions as a viscosity reducer in oil-based drilling systems. When the system contains a large amount of colloidal solid particles, adding this product reduces the rheological properties of the drilling fluid. Its mechanism of action relies on macromolecules dispersing solid particles rather than increasing the oil-water ratio, thus avoiding additional volume expansion. Dosage must be determined based on actual field requirements and confirmed through small-scale sample testing. Note: Overdosing this product significantly reduces 6-rpm and 3-rpm readings while causing a sharp drop in shear viscosity. This rheological decline is irreversible—it cannot be restored by adding viscosity enhancers. Therefore, exercise caution before use and conduct thorough sample testing.
