Solid Polymeric Alcohol
Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-132 Manufacturer PN: CHM-ALC-POL
• Compatible with most water-based drilling fluid systems; strong anti-pollution ability; low toxicity.
Enhances wellbore stability, inhibits shale hydration swelling, improves system lubricity, and reduces mud-out risk.
This shale inhibitor is a nonionic surfactant product for water-based drilling fluids, primarily composed of polyethylene glycol and polypropylene glycol copolymers, commonly known as solid polymeric alcohols. Its functions include: enhancing wellbore stability, lubrication, reducing high-temperature filtrate loss, and minimizing drill bit mud packing. It adsorbs onto drill string surfaces, forming an extreme-pressure lubricating film via oxometallic bonds to achieve lubrication, friction reduction, and torque reduction. This product also chemically inhibits clay hydration and swelling on clay surfaces.
