Solid Potassium Silicate Inhibitor
Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-126 Manufacturer PN: CHM-INH-PSS
• Temperature resistance up to 160°C; acts as a high-performance shale inhibitor in high-performance water-based drilling fluid systems; offers better cost-effectiveness than potassium chloride polymer products.
Stabilizes and suppresses active clays to seal formation pores and microfractures, reducing mud-out risks and minimizing solid phase accumulation.
This shale inhibitor is a dry powder blend containing silicic acid and potassium salts. It is used in water-based drilling fluids to inhibit and stabilize active clays, seal pore spaces and microfractures in formations, reduce mud-out risks, minimize solid phase accumulation, and mitigate corrosion. Suitable for freshwater and monovalent salt systems, it exhibits temperature resistance up to 160°C. This product is incompatible with divalent ions; therefore, seawater hardness must be reduced when preparing drilling fluids with seawater.
