This sulfonated asphalt is a multifunctional product that is partially water-soluble and partially oil-soluble. Its primary functions include shale stabilizer, cuttings dispersion inhibitor, and high-temperature loss control agent, suitable for both oil-based and water-based drilling fluid systems. The product exhibits strong contamination resistance, a wide pH applicability range, and temperature resistance up to 260°C. It forms a thin yet resilient mud cake, enabling fine particles to effectively seal microfractures.
