Water-in-Oil Emulsifiers
Catalog NO.: AIMRSE-CHM-ADD-042 Manufacturer PN: CHM-EMU-WIO
• Solves the problem of increased density in water-based drilling fluids due to dissolved salts when encountering salt formations; reduces waste discharge; thermal stability exceeds 180°C; stabilizes wellbore.
Water-in-oil emulsifier; forms a stable water-in-oil emulsion using saturated monovalent salt water or calcium salt water; replaces oil-based drilling fluids.
This product is an emulsifier for oil-in-water (O/W) systems, characterized by oil as the non-continuous phase and brine as the continuous phase. Its unique chemical properties enable stable emulsification even at low oil-water ratios as low as 30:70. The emulsion system formed by this agent inherently contains high-concentration brine and a specific volume of base oil. It can replace conventional water-based drilling fluids, specifically for drilling through salt formations. This prevents water-based fluids from increasing mud density due to salt dissolution, thereby avoiding wellbore bulging and fluid loss. Additionally, it reduces waste disposal costs.
