This thickener is a powdered xanthan gum—a dispersed, opaque, high-molecular-weight biopolymer suitable for most water-based systems, exhibiting salt and calcium resistance. It exhibits excellent suspension stability and shear thinning properties, with temperature resistance up to 120°C. Bactericides must be added during use to prevent fermentation. At mud pH values above 10, this product reacts with dissolved calcium ions to form precipitates, though its salt tolerance generally meets requirements.
