This is a high-performance, high-bandwidth, multi-channel transceiver integrating four RF-sampling transmit chains, four RF-sampling receive chains, and two RF-sampling feedback chains—resulting in a total of six RF-sampling ADCs. The device operates up to 7.4 GHz, supporting direct RF sampling in the L-, S-, and C-band frequency ranges without requiring additional frequency conversion stages. Its enhanced channel density and architectural flexibility make it well-suited for high-channel-count, multi-mission systems.
The TX signal path supports interpolation and digital upconversion options, enabling up to 1200 MHz of signal bandwidth across all four TX channels, or up to 2400 MHz when operating with only two TX channels. The DUC output drives a 12 GSPS DAC (digital-to-analog converter), with a hybrid-mode output option that enhances performance in the second Nyquist zone. The DAC output includes a variable gain amplifier (TX DSA) offering 40 dB of gain range, with 1 dB analog steps and 0.125 dB digital steps.
Each receiver chain features a digital step attenuator (DSA) with a 25 dB range, followed by a 3 GSPS ADC (analog-to-digital converter). Every RX channel includes multiple analog peak power detectors and various digital power detectors to support external or internal autonomous automatic gain control (AGC), along with an RF overload detector for device reliability protection. Flexible decimation options allow bandwidth optimization: up to 1200 MHz per channel for four RX paths when feedback (FB) paths are disabled, or 600 MHz per RX channel when both FB paths are enabled (each supporting 1200 MHz bandwidth).
The device also includes a SYSREF timing detector to optimize the alignment of the SYSREF input relative to the device clock, ensuring precise multi-chip synchronization in JESD204B/C-based systems.
