Standard RF Power Transistor for General-Purpose Amplifiers
Brand: AIMRSE
This is a high-performance, wide-bandwidth, multi-channel transceiver integrating eight RF-sampling DACs and ten RF-sampling ADCs. Pin- and software-compatible lower-channel-count variants are available—AFE8004 with 4 TX and 4 RX channels, and AFE8010 with 10 RX channels—to enable scalable system design.
Each receiver (RX) chain includes a digital step attenuator (DSA) with a 25 dB range, followed by a 4 GSPS ADC (analog-to-digital converter). The ten ADCs are connected to eight receiver paths (1RX to 8RX) and two feedback paths (1FB and 2FB). The ADCs used in the RX and FB paths are identical, but the digital downconverter (DDC) paths differ—the FB paths feature wider bandwidth and can also be used as receivers. Each receiver channel includes multiple analog peak power detectors and digital peak and power detectors to assist external or internal autonomous automatic gain controllers, along with an RF overload detector to provide device reliability protection. Single-band or dual-band digital downconverters (DDCs) support signal bandwidths of up to 800 MHz (in 8-channel mode), or 400 MHz (for 8 channels) plus 800 MHz (for 2 channels).
Each transmitter (TX) chain includes a single-band or dual-band digital upconverter (DUC), supporting signal bandwidths of up to 800 MHz (in 8-channel mode) or 1200 MHz (in 4-channel mode). The DUC output drives a 12 GSPS DAC (digital-to-analog converter), with a hybrid-mode output option enhancing operation in the second Nyquist zone. The DAC output includes a variable gain amplifier (TX DSA) with a 40 dB range, 1 dB analog steps, and 0.125 dB digital steps.
