High-Efficiency Gear Reducers for Industrial Power Transmission

AIMRSE gear reducers deliver reliable speed reduction and torque multiplication for a wide range of industrial and mobile applications. Our portfolio includes helical, bevel-helical, worm, and planetary gear reducers with ratios from 3:1 to 3,000:1 and torque capacities up to 100,000 Nm. Designed for continuous duty and high shock loads, our reducers feature case-hardened and precision-ground gearing for smooth, quiet operation and extended service life.

Every reducer undergoes rigorous testing for efficiency, noise, and temperature rise. We offer standard IEC, NEMA, and custom motor mounting interfaces, as well as a variety of output shaft configurations and mounting positions. Whether you need a standard inline reducer or a custom-engineered solution for a specific machine, our application engineers provide technical support from selection to commissioning.

Performance Validation & Field-Proven Reliability

We standardized on AIMRSE shaft-mount reducers for our aggregate conveyor systems. The reducers have operated for over 18,000 hours in dusty, high-vibration conditions with zero bearing failures. The torque arm and backstop options simplified installation and improved safety.

Our mixing vessels required a high-torque, right-angle reducer with a dry-well seal to prevent product contamination. AIMRSE provided a custom bevel-helical reducer with a extended dry-well and FDA-approved lubricant. The reducer has been leak-free for over three years of continuous production.

Precision Manufacturing & Advanced Gearing Technology

AIMRSE gear reducers are manufactured using state-of-the-art gear grinding, heat treatment, and quality control processes to ensure reliable power transmission.

  • Case-Hardened & Ground Gearing
Helical and bevel gears are case-carburized to 58–62 HRC and precision-ground to AGMA Class 10–12 for optimal tooth contact and low noise.
  • High-Capacity Bearings
Tapered roller, spherical roller, and cylindrical roller bearings sized for high radial and thrust loads with L10 life exceeding 25,000 hours.
  • Advanced Sealing Systems
Double-lipped oil seals, labyrinth seals, and dry-well options prevent lubricant leakage and contaminant ingress in harsh environments.
  • Modular Housing Design
Rigid cast iron housings with precision-machined bores ensure accurate gear alignment and quiet operation across all mounting positions.

Frequently Asked Reducer Questions

How do I select the correct service factor for my application?
Service factor accounts for the type of prime mover, duty cycle, and shock loading. For uniform loads (fans, conveyors), use SF = 1.0–1.25. For moderate shock (mixers, extruders), use SF = 1.25–1.5. For heavy shock (crushers, mills), use SF = 1.5–2.0. Our application engineers can assist with proper selection.
What is the difference between helical and worm gear reducers?
Helical reducers offer higher efficiency (94–98%) and are ideal for continuous duty and higher speeds. Worm reducers provide high single-stage ratios in a compact package and can be self-locking, but have lower efficiency (50–85%) and generate more heat.
Can you provide gear reducers with integrated electric motors?
Yes. We offer complete gearmotor assemblies with the reducer factory-mounted and aligned to an electric motor. Specify motor power, voltage, frequency, and frame size for a complete quotation.
What mounting positions are available?
Most AIMRSE reducers can be mounted in any orientation—horizontal, vertical, or inverted. For some mounting positions, the oil level, breather, and drain plug locations must be adjusted. Specify your required mounting position when ordering.
What is the typical lead time for a custom gear reducer?
Standard catalog reducers ship within 1–2 weeks. Custom-engineered reducers with special ratios, shafts, or accessories typically require 4–8 weeks including design and manufacturing.
Do you offer washdown or stainless steel reducers?
Yes. We offer reducers with stainless steel housings, nickel-plated surfaces, and food-grade lubricants for washdown environments in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical processing.
