High-Rigidity Linear Guides for Precision Motion

AIMRSE linear guides provide smooth, accurate linear motion with high load capacity and long service life. Our portfolio includes profiled rail guides, miniature guides, and roller guides in standard sizes from 7 mm to 65 mm rail width. With accuracy grades from N (normal) to UP (ultra-precision) and preload options from light clearance to heavy preload, our linear guides meet the demanding requirements of machine tools, automation equipment, and precision measurement systems.

Every linear guide is manufactured with precision-ground raceways and matched ball or roller bearings to ensure smooth motion and consistent accuracy. We offer standard lengths up to 4,000 mm, custom end machining, and complete linear axis assemblies. Whether you need a single replacement guide or a complete multi-axis gantry system, our application engineers provide technical support from selection to installation.

Performance Validation & Field-Proven Reliability

We replaced the linear guides on our CNC machining centers with AIMRSE LG-R roller guides. The increased rigidity improved our surface finish quality and allowed us to increase feed rates by 20% without sacrificing accuracy. After 8,000 hours, the guides still meet P-class accuracy and show minimal wear.

Our semiconductor wafer inspection stages require sub-micron repeatability. The AIMRSE LG-MN miniature guides with SP accuracy and light preload have consistently delivered ±0.5 µm positioning repeatability in our cleanroom environment. The smooth, low-friction motion is critical for our scanning process.

Precision Manufacturing & Surface Engineering

AIMRSE linear guides are manufactured using advanced grinding, heat treatment, and quality control processes to ensure smooth, accurate motion and long service life.

  • Precision Rail Grinding
Raceways are profile-ground to micron-level tolerances, ensuring smooth ball/roller recirculation and consistent preload across the entire stroke length.
  • Induction Hardened Raceways
Rail and carriage raceways are induction hardened to 58–62 HRC for optimal wear resistance and fatigue life under high contact stresses.
  • Preload & Accuracy Classes
Multiple preload options (light clearance to heavy preload) and accuracy grades (N to UP) to match application stiffness and precision requirements.
  • Advanced Sealing & Lubrication
High-performance end seals and internal seals, backed by our industrial sealing expertise, and optional metal scrapers protect the recirculating elements.

Frequently Asked Linear Guide Questions

What is the difference between ball and roller linear guides?
Ball guides use recirculating balls and offer smooth motion, lower friction, and are suitable for most general automation applications. Roller guides use cylindrical rollers, providing 2–3 times higher load capacity and rigidity, ideal for heavy-duty machine tool axes.
How do I select the correct preload for my application?
Light preload (Z0/Z1) provides minimal friction for low-load, high-speed applications. Medium preload (Z2) eliminates backlash and increases rigidity for most CNC and automation applications. Heavy preload (Z3) maximizes stiffness for high-precision machining but increases friction and heat generation.
Can you provide linear guides with custom rail lengths?
Yes. We can supply rails cut to your specified length, with custom end machining including reference edges, mounting holes, and dowel pin holes. Provide a drawing for a custom quote.
What accuracy grade should I specify?
N (Normal) for general automation. H (High) for standard CNC machines. P (Precision) for high-accuracy machining and CMM. SP (Super Precision) and UP (Ultra Precision) for semiconductor, optical, and metrology applications.
Do you offer stainless steel linear guides for cleanroom or washdown?
Yes. Our LG-S series features stainless steel rails and carriages with corrosion-resistant materials. They are suitable for cleanroom, food processing, and medical applications where cleanliness and corrosion resistance are required.
What is the typical lead time for custom linear guides?
Standard catalog guides ship within 2–3 business days. Custom rail lengths and special accuracy grades typically ship within 1–2 weeks. Complete custom linear axes with ball screws may require 3–4 weeks.
